| Sunset at Morjim Beach |
Goa is everyone's dream destination. I personally believe that everyone should once visit Goa during their life time. It has complete different atmosphere around there, you can't experience until you visit this place. It was my dream destination from my graduation days and finally we made it after 8 long years. There are a lot of things i want to share with you guys about my experience in Goa. Let me tell you few things about Goa. If you like to see beautiful beaches, hot babes, night life, beach party, foreign tourist and all the happening thing which is going on your mind about Goa then you must visit Northern part of Goa. But one thing in particular i like to mention is that you can't see entire Goa in your one visit. As you are visiting a state not the city. So you need to visit few more times to get feel of expansive and wild Western Ghat, dense woods, cashew and spicy plantation, historical monuments, fortress etc..
Now let's come back to Goa trip planning. We started our journey to Goa from Bangalore on Innova (7+1 Seater), which was the most terrible idea. We were 7 adults and 12+ hours of journey on Innova was a big pain. If you are travelling from Bangalore get the train tickets which will hardly cost around Rs 350 for sleeper & Rs 1000 for AC or get the bus which will also come between Rs 500-1000.
But still if you choose to go by your own vehicle then here are few details which you need to know before you start the journey.
Distance from Bangalore to Goa : 600 km
Toll Charges: Rs 1401
*Goa RTO Tax: Rs 3000(only for commercial vehicle-yellow board)
*RTO tax above mentioned is for Toyota Innova(7+1) seater
There will be huge crowd in Goa RTO if you are travelling in weekend, so to pay the RTO tax and get the receipt will takes around 2-3 hours. This is how it makes your journey 12+ hours(9+3).
There are no good restaurant and hotels on the high way to get freshen up, not even decent restroom where gents or ladies can use. I will suggest please get some packed food from home and there is nothing you can do about the restroom crisis other than using it on open sky :D
So after 10 hour travel time plus 1 hour driver Nap time plus 3 hour of RTO & 1 hour of break during journey makes it total 15 hour tiring journey.
Finally we reach to Morjim, North Goa @ 4 PM.
We have chosen to stay at Morjim but there are few more place like Calangute, Panaji, Candolium, Baga and Anjuna are also nice places to stay in North Goa.
We have booked hotel at Morjim named Lakshmi Palace. Hotel was awesome for it's price range Rs 1200 per day for double occupancy AC room. We have booked it from makemytrip.com. Hotel was 1 star but i will personally give it 3 star. It has neat and clean comfortable bed with TV , Fridge attach bathroom. You can't complain about it's hygiene and service. Check out the below pics.
Restaurants in Goa are good and not much expensive as compare to other tourist destination in India. You will see mostly small hut kind of restaurant serving veg, non veg and of course drinks. Well about drinks as you all know they are super cheap.
